Our Story
We’re the Hill family - Hunter, Allison, and our son Asher. We’re a young family who loves being together, serving others, spending time with friends and family, and making a home wherever we are.
Hunter is the kind of person who loves people, enjoys a good conversation, and has a genuine desire to know Scripture and help others understand it. Allison is passionate about learning, encouraging others, and building a meaningful life for our family. And then there’s Asher, who keeps us laughing, keeps us busy, and makes every day an adventure.
Our family is grounded in our faith, our love for each other, and a desire to use the opportunities God gives us well. We are grateful for where we’ve been, thankful for the people who have invested in our lives, and excited about where the road ahead may lead.
Our Family
The idea of ministry is something Hunter has returned to many times over the years. Even as life has taken us in different directions, the desire to preach, teach, study Scripture, and serve others has kept returning.
Over time, what once felt like an idea has become something we can no longer easily set aside. Through prayer, conversations, study, and the encouragement of people who know Hunter well, that desire has continued to grow. We believe God has been patiently leading him toward this calling, and we are ready to take a step forward.
Hunter hopes to spend his life helping others know and understand God's Word and serving the church wherever he is needed. We know ministry can take many forms, and we don't know exactly what the years ahead will look like. What we do know is that we want to be prepared to serve when those opportunities come.
For our family, Bear Valley represents the beginning of that preparation.
Why Ministry
Bear Valley Bible Institute provides the kind of focused biblical and ministry training Hunter has been looking for as he takes this next step.
At Bear Valley, he will have the opportunity to spend two years immersed in Scripture while developing practical skills in preaching, teaching, discipleship, and ministry. Just as importantly, he'll be learning alongside people who share a desire to serve God and His church.
We believe Bear Valley is a place where Hunter can grow, not only in his knowledge of Scripture, but also in his ability to communicate it, serve others, and develop the character needed for a lifetime of ministry.
We're excited to begin this season as a family and to see where this preparation leads. We don't know exactly what ministry will look like for us after Bear Valley, but we believe these two years will help prepare Hunter to faithfully serve wherever God leads next.

Where We’re Going
We don’t know exactly where this road will lead after Bear Valley, and we’re grateful that we don’t have to figure out every step right now. What we do know is that we want to be prepared to serve wherever an opportunity arises.
Our hope is that Hunter will leave Bear Valley equipped to preach, teach, encourage, and serve the church wherever he is needed. Whether that eventually means working with a local congregation, teaching, preaching, or serving in another ministry setting, we want to remain open to where God can use him.
For our family, this isn't simply about completing a two-year program. It's about preparing for the years that follow. We hope to build a life centered around faith, family, service, and a willingness to go where we're needed.
Right now, that means Colorado and Bear Valley. Beyond that, we're trusting God to open the right doors in His time.
