Preparing for a New Chapter
For the first time, our move to Colorado is starting to feel real.
What once felt like a distant plan is becoming a list of very practical things: getting our home ready to sell, sorting through years of belongings, deciding what comes with us, and figuring out what we need to leave behind. There is something strange about preparing the place we've called home to become someone else's.
We've spent the last few days working through some of those first steps. We've touched up paint, scrubbed cabinets and doors, and started clearing out the things that have accumulated over the years. It's amazing how much you can collect without realizing it until you're faced with the question, "Do we really want to move this to Colorado?"
And there is still a lot to do.
We're also beginning to think through the practical realities of moving our family across the country: finding a place to live, transportation, packing, and all of the little details that come with starting over somewhere new. But underneath all of the lists and projects, we're trying to remember what this is really about.
We're preparing for Hunter to begin at Bear Valley Bible Institute and for our family to step into a season we've been praying and thinking about for a long time. We don't know exactly what the next few years will hold, but we're excited to take this step and see where it leads. For now, we're taking it one box, one project, and one step at a time.
We're getting ready for Colorado.
